ICELAND: The Land of Ice and Fire
We have organized a great 10-day Photo Tour through the most photogenic locations in Iceland. A must-see destination in our list of places to visit a thousand times. This time we will visit Iceland during the winter season, when the island presents its most photogenic version due to the great contrast between the snowy landscapes and the dark volcanic geography.
Iceland is one of the best places to appreciate the natural spectacle of the Aurora Borealis. Having the opportunity to contemplate the dance of the Arctic lady will be an experience you will not forget. Your guides will be attentive to the weather conditions and forecasts, so that you can photograph them in the most spectacular landscapes. You will also learn the proper photographic techniques to capture the Aurora Borealis with your camera or cell phone.
We will have at our disposal our comfortable vehicles that will allow us to make strategic stops and go "aurora hunting" at all times. The tour will start in the capital Reykjavík and we will move west to visit the iconic landscapes of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, capturing places such as: Mount Kirkjufell, the black church of Búðir and the cliffs of Lóndrangar. In addition, you will visit Iceland's stunning South Coast to see the impressive Skógafoss waterfalls, Seljalandfoss, the Ice Caves, Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon, Diamond Beach and the famous Black Beach of Vik. We will reach the east side of the island to visit the Stokksnes peninsula with the wonderful Vestrahorn mountain with its black dune beach.
Prepare your five senses because you are about to experience an unforgettable visual adventure!

DAY 01
Reykjavik, Iceland
The first day begins with your arrival atKeflavík International Airport(KEF), where our staff will be waiting to accompany you to our comfortable hotel in the city of Reykjavík. We will meet with the group to get to know each other and take a walk through the civic center of Iceland's capital. If the forecast for the night is favorable, we will prepare for our first sighting of the Northern Lights from a strategic point in the city.

DAY 02 and DAY 03
Snæfellsnes Peninsula
After breakfast, our Iceland adventure begins. We will depart for the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, which boasts some of the most photogenic landscapes in the entire country. Awaiting us are wild coastlines, the spectacular basalt column cliffs of Arnarstapi, the charming black church ofBúðir, theBúðahraun lava field, the impressive and peculiar sea stacks ofLóndrangar, and the most photographed mountain in the world: the famous Kirkjuffel and its waterfall. Snæfellsnes is one of the best places in Iceland to see the Northern Lights in all their glory, so we will be on the lookout at all times to get out with our cameras at night.

DAY 04:
Seljalandsfoss – Skógafoss – Reynisfjara
After the sunrise session at Kirkjufell, we will make our way to the epic landscape of Iceland's south coast. Along the way, we will stop at the glorious Seljalandsfoss, a beautiful waterfall that you can walk around 360 degrees. Nearby is the magnificent Skógafoss, a thunderous giant with a dizzying 60-meter drop. You can get close to this beast to capture the texture of the water as it plunges into the river below, or simply stand back where you can shoot the waterfall framed by snow-covered cliffs.

THE NORTHERN LIGHTS
ICELAND is one of the most privileged places in the world to observe the wonderful Aurora Borealis.
They are one of nature's greatest spectacles. An aurora is produced when charged particles from the Sun collide with the Earth's magnetic field. These particles from the solar wind are guided by the Earth's magnetic field and are directed towards the poles, returning the energy acquired in the form of light. This light can be produced with different intensity and wavelengths, which affect the color of the light.
Our tour depends on the weather conditions, as the weather in Iceland can be very unpredictable and we are forced to study the forecast at every moment. While the probability of seeing the Aurora Borealis is very high, we will be able to see the Aurora Borealis at the, we cannot guarantee that they will be visible on any given day of the tour, but we will go hunting for them whenever possible.

DAY 05
Vatnajökull National Park
Today we will head to Vatnajokull National Park, spending the morning photographing its incredible landscapes of lava rocks, glistening glacier tongues, breathtaking waterfalls, and long stretches of desert-like black sand dotted with bright white snow. We will spend the afternoon in the serenity of the glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón, where large icebergs float on the glassy surface glass-like water before drifting out to sea. After the long journey, we will enjoy a delicious dinner at one of Iceland's most iconic restaurants.

DAY 06
Vatnajökull National Park
Today we will have the opportunity to visit and photograph the impressive Ice Caves of the Vatnajokull Glacier (the largest glacier in Europe), an experience that will leave us speechless due to the surreal landscape we will see inside the glacier with the filtering light that paints the enormous blocks of ice in turquoise tones. (The excursion to the Ice Caves is optional and not included in the tour price).
In the afternoon, we will return to the Glacier Lagoon to photograph the beautiful Diamond Beach. This beach is perfect for practicing long exposure techniques, as the waves sweep over the icebergs sitting on the black sand, creating a dreamlike "silk" effect. At night, we will be on the lookout to photograph the northern lights in this magical place.

DAY 07
Höfn- Stokksnes Peninsula
After breakfast, we will head to the Stokksnes Peninsula Stokksnes, home to the impressive Vestrahorn. This mountain is also known as "Batman Mountain" because of its jagged peaks, resembling the iconic superhero's logo. Its foreground is full of compositions, from undulating black sand dunes among the snow to grassy fields and frozen puddles. Depending on the tide, we may be able to photograph the reflection of Vestrahorn on the black beach. We will continue photographing Vestrahorn until sunset, hoping that the Northern Lights will appear over this impressive mountain.

DAY 08
Skaftafell National Park – Vik
We will enter theSkaftafell Nature Reserve, famous for its beautiful landscapes. Here, you can photograph glacier tongues, lagoons, majestic snow-capped mountain peaks, frozen waterfalls, and rivers flowing from glaciers. We will visit the famous Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon. This canyon is renowned for its beauty and impressive rock walls, which have earned it numerous appearances in films and music videos. We will pass through the town of Vik to photograph some spots before waiting for sunset inside an epic waterfall.
