THE DOLOMITES, THE JEWEL OF THE ALPS
We present a fantastic photography tour of one of the jewels of the Alps: the Dolomites.
This will be an 8-day tour where we’ll visit the most spectacular locations in the Italian Alps. The tour will begin in the beautiful city of Venice, where we’ll photograph its canals and bridges during the most photogenic times of day. From there, we’ll head to the heart of the Alps to visit breathtaking locations such as: The Three Peaks of Lavaredo, the famous Cadini di Misurina viewpoint, Lake Sorapis, Lake Braies, and theFunes and Alpe di Siusi valleys, taking advantage of the best lighting conditions to capture unique images. We’ll go on moderate hikes to reach the scenic viewpoints, guided by our bilingual guides who will teach you techniques to expand your photography skills.

DAY 1:
Venice, Italy
The meeting point will be Venice Marco Polo International Airport (VCE), where our staff will be waiting for the group of participants to accompany them to our hotel. It will be a day to explore the beautiful city of Venice, surrounded by canals and its wonderful architecture.
We will have the opportunity to photograph it at sunset and sunrise to capture the best shots.




DAY 2:
Venice – Dolomites
We’ll wake up very early to photograph the romantic city of Venice at sunrise and see the main attractions without the crowds of tourists, such as: St. Mark’s Square, the Grand Canal, the Accademia Bridge, and the Rialto Bridge, among others.
After breakfast, we’ll head north for our first encounter with the Italian Dolomites. After the blue hour, we’ll settle into our beautiful hotel at the foot of the mountains.




DAY 3:
Dolomites, Italy
After breakfast, we’ll get ready for a day of hiking through one of the most beautiful areas of the Dolomites: we’ll visit Le Tre Cime di Lavaredo, where we’ll be able to admire majestic mountains and lakes. After sunset, we’ll return to our hotel to rest and enjoy a delicious Italian dinner.




DAY 4:
Dolomites, Italy
We’ll wake up very early to go on a hike to Lake Sorapis, one of the most photogenic lakes in the Dolomites, which boasts a spectacular panoramic viewpoint surrounded by mountains and forests. After the hike, we’ll visit another “secret” spot for sunset photography and return to our hotel for a well-deserved rest.




DAY 5:
Dolomites, Italy
After breakfast, we’ll get ready for the trip to Val di Funes and Alpe di Siusi. Along the way, we’ll visit alpine lakes with reflections and turquoise hues that will leave us in awe. By sunset, we’ll arrive at another spectacular spot in the Dolomites: Lake Braies.
We’ll have the chance to walk and sail on this beautiful lake, waiting for the golden hour when it looks its best.




DAY 6:
Dolomites, Italy
After breakfast, we’ll head to another epic spot: Mount Seceda and its cliffs will offer us spectacular views. We’ll take the famous cable cars to reach the summit and enjoy a panoramic view of the Alps.
At sunset, we’ll visit Val di Funes and its distinctive churches, which will provide us with one of the best postcard views of the trip.




DAY 7:
Dolomites, Italy
We’ll set out very early in the morning to photograph one of the panoramic viewpoints on the Alpe di Siusi. We’ll enjoy a classic Alpine lunch at a local trattoria and then get ready to photograph the sunset at another top spot in the Dolomites: Lake Carezza, with its waters shifting in hues from turquoise to green.




DAY 8:
Venice, Italy
After breakfast, we will pack our bags for the transfer to Venice Marco Polo International Airport.
We will say goodbye after a wonderful trip in Italy.

Jheison Huerta
The expedition will be led by Peruvian photographer Jheison Huerta and his team of collaborators. Founder of the Photo Andes agency, which has been organizing photography tours since 2014 to most photogenic destinations in the world, such as Peru, Norway, Iceland, Morocco, Bolivia, Italy, and Argentina, among others.
He is currently a Sony Brand Ambassador and Alpha Partner for Latin America. Jheison Huerta has received international recognition for his work in promoting astrophotography which earned him recognition fromNASA with the APOD (Astronomy Picture of the Day), He is also an instructor for the astrophotography course on the Domestikaplatform, and his work has been featured in
most prominent media outlets: BBC, National Geographic, History, Mirror, Telemundo, Globo, El Comercio, and many more. He was nominated by Photopills as one of the 25 most inspiring photographers in the world, and his work is featured the book “Photopillers of the Year 2020.”
He is currently collaborating with National GeographicUK on the production of the series“Welcome To The Earth,”
hosted by Will Smith and streaming on Disney+.
