UYUNI SALT FLATS AND ALTIPLANO LAGOONS
We have organized a fascinating tour of the most evocative landscapes of the Salar de Uyuni and the vast Altiplano Desert within the “Eduardo Avaroa” National Reserve. We will visit the Salar de Uyuni during the reflection season, when it becomes the world’s largest “natural mirror,” stretching over 10,000 km² across the Andes. We’ll enjoy excursions in 4×4 trucks to admire the Salar in all its majesty, taking photos of the psychedelic colors of the sunset and participating in nighttime sessions to gaze at the Milky Wayreflected in the salt flats and walk on a blanket of stars.
If the Salar makes us feel as though we’re on another planet, then a journey through the Altiplano Desert will only reinforce that feeling: we’ll discover colorful lagoons, home to Andean flamingos, surrounded by volcanoes, geysers, and a rich array of Andean wildlife. Every sunrise and sunset offers magical light perfect for photography and contemplation. A natural and visual experience that awakens all the senses.
The lights and colors of Bolivia are waiting for you!

DAY 1:
UYUNI AIRPORT, BOLIVIA
The meeting point will be Uyuni Airport (UYU), where our staff will be waiting for the group to transfer them to our hotel. We’ll have our first encounter with the marvelous Salar de Uyuni for sunset photos and a nighttime session featuring the Milky Way, which will give us the surreal feeling of walking among the stars.
DAY 2 and DAY 3:
UYUNI SALAR, BOLIVIA
After breakfast, we will visit the most iconic attractions within the Salar de Uyuni, such as the train graveyard, the town of Colchani, the Ojos de Agua, and Isla Blanca, and we will enjoy a buffet lunch in the middle of the Salar. We will wait for sunset at a location to appreciate the colors of twilight and will have our second night of astrophotography in the Salar.

ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY IN THE SALAR
The Salar de Uyuni is one of the best places on Earth for astrophotography: its strategic location, high altitude, and minimal light pollution make the Salar a wonderful vantage point for capturing images of the celestial bodies in the universe.

DAYS 4, 5, and 6
LAGUNAS, VOLCANOES, AND ALTIPLANO DESERT RESERVE
If the Salar de Uyuni gives us the feeling of being on another planet, then the journey through the Altiplano Desert and the “Eduardo Avaroa” National Reserve will confirm that sensation: colorful lagoons, volcanoes, geysers, deserts, rock forests, and Altiplano wildlife that will surprise us at every turn. We’ll also have evenings to do astrophotography by the shores of the lagoons and in the volcanic rock forests.

LA LAGUNA COLORADA
During our tour of the reserve, we will pay special attention to the beautiful Laguna Colorada. Covering more than 60 square kilometers, it is the largest lake on the Altiplano and is home to thousands of Andean flamingos. We will have the opportunity to enjoy scenic viewpoints overlooking the volcanoes that surround this fantastic landscape.

DAY 7:
UYUNI
On our way back to the city of Uyuni, we’ll visit other spots in the middle of the desert, ready to enjoy the last sunset over the Salar de Uyuni and take some night shots at the Train Graveyard, before recharging our batteries at our exclusive hotel.

DAY 08:
FLIGHT TO LA PAZ, END OF THE TOUR
After breakfast, we will head to Uyuni Airport (UYU) for the return flight to La Paz.
